Beverley Aspinallmanaging director - Fortnum & Mason Plc Beverley Aspinall joined Fortnum & Mason PLC as managing director in February 2005. Beverley has overseen a £24million refurbishment of the Piccadilly store, to celebrate the Tercentenary of the store in October 2007. She has refocused the business building on its core areas of strength – food and drink, celebration and entertainment – and driving remote sales through an invigorated web store and an expanded international network.After graduating from the University of York in 1981, with a BA (Hons) in Linguistics, Beverley joined the John Lewis Partnership as a graduate trainee starting a long and distinguished career with the retailer. Beverley held various positions with them including section manager, department manager & central buyer menswear and assistant general manager at various stores before taking up the post of managing director of John Lewis Peterborough in 1995.In 1997 she was appointed managing director of Peter Jones, Sloane Square, and in 1999 she added the role of project director to her responsibilities when she headed the £100 million refurbishment project at Peter Jones.
